Managing Partner.He is a seasoned lawyer with over a decade of experience. He obtained his LLB from the University of Jos and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, where he earned his BL.
He appreciates the strong link between law, development, and socio-economic growth. His career goal is to continue exploring how the law can bring quick, positive, and practical solutions to his sphere of influence. This includes clients, his workplace, family, friends, and society at large. Over the past ten years, he has handled a wide range of legal and managerial responsibilities.
He has advised corporations as they articulate or defend their interests, supported governments in formulating policy and drafting legislation, represented vulnerable individuals, and worked with not-for-profit organisations focused on education, culture, and social impact. Through this work, he has gained the strategies, expertise, and lawyering skills needed to understand both the legal landscape and its socio-economic context.
He has also developed experience in creating structures for raising and organising debt or equity capital for corporations and government entities. In dispute resolution, he has represented clients in complex matters involving taxation, the oil sector, contractual disputes, nationwide product liability, shareholder issues, joint ventures, investment and divestment, securitisation, and primary and secondary capital market trading. This has given him a wide skill set across pre-litigation work, litigation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
He has been active in the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association. As managing partner at Aventop Partners, he has overseen strategic planning, long-term practice development, recruitment and training policies, work quality control, and the firm’s brand development and marketing efforts.
In all, his daily focus is to gain deeper and more meaningful exposure that advances this objective.
